Orchid Veil
Not the flower—its trace in a shaded room.
Sandalwood, spikenard, lingling herb, patchouli, styrax and clove create a restrained green-floral impression carried by dry herbs and warm wood.

CORE BENEFITS
WHY THIS FORM
Three reasons to live with it.
01Floral by suggestion
The composition avoids a bright perfume effect, allowing the idea of orchid to appear through herbs and wood.
02Green clarity
Patchouli and aromatic herbs keep the centre dry, shaded and quietly alive.
03An afternoon lift
Its gentle upward movement suits the hour when attention begins to loosen.

HANDCRAFTED PROCESS & MATERIAL PROVENANCE
THE WORK · THE SOURCE
Made by hand. Kept close to material.
THE WORKSHOP

01Set the wood
Sandalwood establishes a soft base broad enough to carry the herbal materials.
02Lift with herbs
Spikenard, lingling herb and patchouli are measured for green movement and shade.
03Warm and rest
Styrax and clove complete the lower register before the lines are rolled and rested.
MATERIAL TRACE
Sandalwood: Gives the composition its warm, softly rounded foundation.
Spikenard · lingling herb · patchouli: Create the green, shaded floral impression at the centre.
Styrax · clove: Bring a restrained resinous warmth to the final phase.
FOUNDER INSPIRATION & THOUGHT
FROM THE FOUNDER
The thought behind the scent.
Inspiration: I was interested in what remains after a flower leaves the room: a cooler patch of air, green stems, a little shadow. The blend began there, with absence rather than bloom.
Founder thought: “A floral scent can be most beautiful when the flower is only implied.”
USE SCENES & CARE
LIVE WITH IT
Use gently. Keep it well.
01Early afternoon
Light when the day feels dispersed and allow the green opening to reset the room.
02A shaded studio
Use while arranging, drawing or doing work that asks for quiet visual attention.
03Before tea
Let the fragrance settle for several minutes before warm drinks enter the room.
